The condition of women in our society has always been a matter of concern. Gita Hariharan in her ‘The Thousand faces of Night,’ sharply carves the predicament of women. Not only does she sketch how the society has coerced women to be puppets in the hands of their male guardians, but also churns out the way elder generation of women has accepted it as their fate and how women themselves have romanticized their fate which they conveniently impose on the Gen Z and Gen X girls who are young and vivacious in their thoughts, words, and deeds. The paper aims to explore the contrast Gita Hariharan has portrayed among three generation of women in her novel.
2025-01-04T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 https://www.ijnms.com/index.php/ijnms/article/view/313Conceptual Study of Vyadhikshamatva with Special Referance to Ojus 2025-04-04T04:06:33+00:00Dr. Rohini Pandurang Chimankar, Vd. In India, social media has dramatically transformed how political parties engage with voters, especially during elections. This paper explores the impact of social media on India's Lok Sabha and assembly elections, focusing on its role in shaping political campaigns, enhancing voter engagement, and influencing outcomes. By analysing key elections, including the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections and various state assembly elections, the paper highlights how political parties like the Bharatiya
Janata Party (BJP) and Congress have strategically used social media. The study also examines the extensive use of social media in assembly elections held during the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced political parties to rely on virtual campaigning due to restrictions on physical rallies.
2025-01-07T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 https://www.ijnms.com/index.php/ijnms/article/view/325Effect of Regular Pranayama Practice in Prevention of Non-Communicable Disease-A Swasthavrutta Perspective2025-05-02T05:52:50+00:00Dr. Minal Gurnule, Diksha Ambhore, Dr. Shamal Mohanrao Paturdeamitbdwj47@gmail.com
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, and cancer, are the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in India. Rapid urbanization, lifestyle changes, and increasing stress levels contribute to their rising prevalence. While conventional medical approaches play a crucial role in managing NCDs, there is growing interest in integrative therapies like yoga for prevention and management. Yoga is a multi-faceted spiritual tool enhancing health and well-being. Physical postures (Asan), regulated breathing (Pranayama), and meditations (Dhyana) are its main components. Breathing exercises of various types, particularly diaphragmatic breathing, alternate nostril breathing (anulom vilom), and kapalbhati have been noted to be useful in chronic asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), post-operative management in head & neck surgery, cardiovascular surgery, and upper abdominal surgery.
2025-01-08T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 https://www.ijnms.com/index.php/ijnms/article/view/326Critical Review to Understand Vagbhata’s Treatment Protocols of Vatadi Types of Vyanga Vis-À-Vis Melasma2025-05-02T06:09:40+00:00Dr. Dhanwantari Gorakhanath Saste, Dr. Mushraf Sayyaddr.swaranjalee@gmail.com
Background: Melasma is a skin condition characterized by dark spots and patches on the nose, cheeks, forehead and jawline.
